PROSPERITY^® 5056 aluminum plate is a high-magnesium alloy. Among non-heat-treatable alloys, it has good strength, corrosion resistance and machinability. The surface of 5056 aluminum plate is beautiful after anodizing treatment and it has good arc welding performance.

The main element of PROSPERITY^® 5056 is magnesium. Magnesium can significantly enhance the strength of aluminum without excessively reducing its plasticity. 5056 also contains a small amount of manganese and chromium. Adding manganese can enhance the corrosion resistance of alloys, especially their resistance to stress and corrosion cracking, and ensure that the alloys have higher stability. The function of adding chromium is similar to that of manganese. It can enhance the resistance to stress and corrosion cracking, increase the strength of the base metal and weld seams, and reduce the tendency of welding cracks.
