PROSPERITY^® 5182 aluminum plate is an aluminum-magnesium series anti-rust aluminum with good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, relatively good cold workability, and medium strength. Its performance is similar to that of A02, but due to its slightly higher magnesium content than 5A02 and the addition of a small amount of silicon, its welding performance is better than that of 5A02. The welding performance of 5182 aluminum plate by gas welding, argon arc welding, spot welding and roll welding is all very good, and there is no significant difference in other properties between the two.

PROSPERITY^® 5182 can be applied to the outer plates of ship sides and bottoms, decks, refrigeration equipment, tank trucks, oxygen generators, tower bodies, auto parts, etc. Among them, thin plates can also be used to process can LIDS. This alloy has high strength, especially fatigue resistance, high plasticity and corrosion resistance, and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. It has good plasticity during semi-cold working hardening, but low plasticity during cold working hardening. It has good corrosion resistance and weldability, but poor machinability and can be polished. It is mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability and work in liquid or gas media.
