PROSPERITY® low-pressure Aluminum die casting is a special casting technology in the casting discipline of mechanical engineering. It is mainly formed by filling the mold with molten aluminum driven by an air pressure of 0.06 to 0.15MPa. This process employs either metal or non-metal molds. Metal molds are suitable for mass production, while non-metal molds are mostly used for single-piece customization. The core process involves applying pressure with compressed air in a sealed crucible to enable the molten aluminum to fill the mold smoothly along the riser tube. After holding the pressure and solidifying, a casting with dense structure and smooth surface is formed, and the yield of molten aluminum can reach 90%. This technology optimizes quality by adjusting the filling speed, pressure and holding time, and enhances the feeding effect by utilizing the principle of sequential solidification. The working temperature of metal molds is usually 220-450℃. The pouring temperature and the selection of coatings directly affect the precision and service life. In industrial applications, mold design encompasses improved solutions such as the control of the volume ratio of the sprue (not less than 30% of the aluminum volume), the structure of the annular cooling water cavity, and multi-layer clamping devices, effectively addressing shrinkage cavities and aluminum leakage defects in castings and enhancing cooling efficiency. Typical applications include the casting of aluminum products such as motor rotors, and the high success rate production of special end plate rotors is achieved through structural innovation.
